Where should we take our family photos in the DFW area?
Let's face it, a lot can go into having family photos done. You want a beautiful location that will showcase the love in your family. Here are my favorite locations in the DFW area to take family photos!
Your home!
You do not have to have a picture perfect home to have your photos done in your home. This is the place where your family interacts the most, so why not stay comfy and true to who you are and do your photos in the comfort of your own home. You won't have to pack up the kids to drive to a new location, everyone has their favorite toys or snacks, and I bring my lights with me, so we can work around the exact timing your family needs for nap or school or sports schedules.
Downtown Grapevine
When we were first looking at homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Historic Downtown Grapevine sold us on this town! We love the character of the old buildings and all of the amazing restaurants, wineries, and shops. While it can get crowded on the weekends, and especially during Christmas, an early morning session in this historic gem is my favorite! Then you can even grab breakfast or a cup of coffee at some of the tastiest places in the area!
Murrell Park
There's a reason this park is popular among hikers, bikers, and photographers alike. The stunning rock formations, beautiful trails, and epic sunsets over Lake Grapevine make for some beautiful photos!
McCormick Preserve
A beautiful park Euless, this Preserve offers a lake, walking trails, bridges and more for some great family photos. As a bonus, in the Spring, the bluebonnets make a spectacular appearance!
Local Studios
We have so many great studios in the area that we can choose an indoor location to beat the heat of Texas summer! I LOVE New Light Studio in Bedford, but I know of plenty of studios in the Metroplex to make it convenient to you and your family. Please note, that studios do incur a fee!
